San Jerónimo Aculco-Lídice is one of the most representative original towns of the southwest of Mexico City in the current Magdalena Contreras district. In the first half of the 16th century, the open chapel was its oldest religious building. The temple of worship, which has a single nave and a single tower located to the north, was built in the early eighteenth century and has a sacristy and pilgrims' portal. In 1932, the complex was catalogued as a Historic Monument by the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History).

After significant damage caused by the 2017 earthquakes, the temple was the beneficiary of a first phase of the National Reconstruction Program. In 2023, e c o –together with Fundarq– was in charge of a second phase of restoration that covered the sacristy and pilgrims' portal areas. This work consisted of the consolidation of the masonry walls, integration of dragging beams under the existing ones, plastering and lime painting, as well as the maintenance of the sacristy roof.
