The e c o proposal for the Mextrópoli 2022 pavilion responds to the expectations of the festival to propose a device with minimal environmental and social impact.
It starts from the reflection that construction, as well as the textile industry, are two of the main responsible for climate change to which the spatial proposal should respond. Re:fugio is the opportunity to remind us of our responsibility both as architects and citizens.
The sale of second-hand clothing and the taking of public space for local commerce are closely linked to the chilanga* culture; the pavilion has the vocation to accompany citizen initiatives that encourage responsible consumption.
Once the festival is over, the clothes used will be redistributed to vendors while the modules can be used to respond to various initiatives related to local trade.
